Did you know 8% of people have an extra rib? 🙂
An extra rib is also called a cervical rib, sometimes known as “neck ribs”. It is estimated to occur in 8% (8 in 100 people) of the population and it is a congenital abnormality located above the normal first rib. It can create different problems like a chest infection, pain in the neck and upper arm(mostly left side).
