Despite Cristiano Ronaldo netting on his Champions League return for Manchester United, the visitors conceded a dramatic goal as they lost to Young Boys. The home side have done the unthinkable. They defeated Manchester United with 10 men after Wan-Bissaka was sent off.

The opener goal of the game was scored by Cristiano Ronaldo in the 13th minute through a Bruno Fernandes assist. The all-time Champions League appearance holder with his 177th appearance in the competition, put United ahead after receiving an extraordinary pass from his compatriot Fernandes. But unfortunately Manchester United went down to 10 men in the 35th minute and the red card puts much pressure on the team until the home side equalized in the 2nd half as Ngamaleu scored in the 66th minute past De Gea.

The Young Boys kept the pressure on Red Devils’ defence and an error by Jesse Lingard led to the goal in the 95th minute. It was an embarrassing night to the United team due to the fact that it was managed only two shots during the match, and it is the fewest shots the team has on record in any of their 138 UEFA Champions League matches since 2003.

United brought French defender Raphael Varane on at the halftime and went to five at the back to see if the can be able to manage the home side, but the hosts got a deserved equalizer anyway. The visitors replaced Ronaldo in the second half as they changed formation. But the drama was not yet over, as Siebatcheu pounced deep into stoppage time spark wild scenes of celebration, ensuring United got their worst night in the opening game.
